I started my career a machinery manufacturer in 1945, further to the mechanical training held before the war. The first models were machines for the brush industry, some of which were exposed at the International Trade Fair in Milan in 1947. Following to the relevant growth in Italy and particularly in Veneto of the bristle processing activities for the brush and paintbrush industry and boosted by the local operators, I began the manufacturing of bristle processing machines. At that time, the existing equipment was very small and there was much to do for the mechanisation of that industry field. The first workshop was built at Via J. Tintoretto in Mirano (VE) in 1951 and the company name was "Giuseppe Paggin, macchine per setolifici e pennellifici". There I hired my first collaborators and in 1952 we built the first mixing machine. Then in the following years we realised the whole line of machines for bristle processing, from the raw bristle to the finished product. They werw original models, easy to run and highly efficient. Up to 1970, hundreds of machines came out from that workshop, many of which and even some of the first are still running. As the international market became more important embracing also South America, former URSS and China, since 1971 the company works have been transferred in the new building at Via G. Matteotti. Here, thanks also to the use of new technologies and to the collaboration of highly qualified engineers, the company with the new name of P.G. Progettazioni Generali S.R.L., enlarged its product range with the introduction of new automatic machines for the processing of brush and paint-brush filling materials. Since the beginning my aim has been to build quality machines, easy to run, highly productive, made to last in the years with low maintenance. Today, after many years, the company policy stays the same. Every part of our machines is manufactured with experience, accuracy and precision and the quality materials we use are guarantee of efficiency and reliability in the years. Giuseppe Paggin
